Taking into account that on one hand the mobile world changes quickly and on the other hand FX-602P users want to use there Simulator for quite some time to come the decision was taken use Java Micro Edition as main development platform and Model-view-controller as architectural pattern.

This gives the project the following advantages:

  • JavaME is supported by most smart phones on sale or planned for the immediate future - This will make it possible to have your FX-602P with you all the time.
  • MVC will allow porting to other Java based platforms easily.

Especialy Java Standard Edition for Windows, Linux etc and Dalvik virtual machine for Android (googles mobile phone platform) could be usefull alternative platforms.
